Lead Network Operations Engineer  
  
Shatter I.T. Global Services, the top Managed service provider in WNY
and Southern Ontario is looking for a lead network operations engineer.
Job responsibilities include: 

-Development and administration of customer servers, ranging from
Windows 2000/2003 to Linux and Solaris servers. 
-Leading the technology team in both a technical and operational
position.
-Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience of computer systems
from process/OS to networks is required. 
-Develop Standard operating procedures for technical staff, maintain,
design, troubleshoot and expand network and monitoring systems. 
-Forward communication with clients in keeping with our excellent
service and customer relationships. 
-Lead projects involving the evaluation, procurement, installation and
support of system software, hardware platforms, distributed systems and
peripherals for all network servers. 
-Development and design of state of the art monitoring software and 
technologies. 
-Consultation and planning of disaster recovery and load balancing for
clients. 

At least 2 years of experience in each of the following: UNIX/Linux
System Administration, SUN Solaris 2.x, Windows 2000 or Windows 2003
server administration. 

Configuration/extensive experience in IIS administration, MSSQL
administration, Exchange administration, Windows Terminal Services, SMS
and Windows Update Services, Windows application software from MS Word
to MS Publisher. 

Extensive experience in system administration of Unix/Linux servers,
including but not limited to: DNS,EMAIL,Apache/Web server, Redhat,
Slackware, Network configuration, FTP, MYSQL,iptables and linux based
firewalls, Qmail, Sendmail, MRTG, RRD, and other network based
monitoring technology.

Network troubleshooting experience, basic experience in Cisco IOS
required. experience in advanced networking such as VLANS, Port
Trunking, 802.1Q vlan tagging, switch port mirroring, ARP/RARP/GARP
troubleshooting, network intrusion detection, firewall experience, SNMP,
and VPN Technology.

Programing experience in C, C++, Visual Studio .NET, C#, perl, php, and
java a very big plus. 

Experience in leading-edge technologies such as VOIP, Asterisk,
Jabber/IM, Text to Voice/Voice to Text, Abbarrent behavior detection,
realtime embedded linux systems, Integration with third party software,
custom Linux distributions.
