The last one could be a permissions issue.  Check to
see if they are logging in locally with something like
'power user' priveledges, but when logging on to the
domain, they are only plain old users.  
Some  (very poorly written) windows programs (don't
blame m$, blame the programmer of the application)
require the user to be a power user or even an admin
to do basic stuff with the program.
