It'll work just fine-

I'd put fat32 on it as a filesystem--

Plug it in, then run this command-
mount -tvfat /dev/sda1 /mount/point

That's it.. This is making the assumption that you have no other scsi drives-  You can do a 'cat /proc/scsi/scsi' to see what drive it will be if you have any questions. 

Of course, you can use another filesystem like reiser or ext3, but you'll limit the drive to linux systems..
