K3B is different.  It seems that it's more geared to creating ISO images,
rather than burning existing images.  It took me about a half hour to figure
out how to get it to burn an ISO from a file.

As for the session thing, when you burn the CD, you should have the option to
not close the session...  I don't see that option in k3b but I've seen it in
Eroaster and cd-r-bq.  Hmmm... Wonder why it's left out?

Sorry, can't help with this one...  I can only suggest trying a different
burning program.
