xmms has a wavout plugin that writes wav files,  you can also use "sox" (gen
purpose audio converter,  but doesn't do midi or mod/stm files) for those use
timid-ty or xmms's wavout plugin.  the plugin should already be on your system
or you can DL it from xmms.org
