if you want to use swat (samba web admin tool) to configure samba it 
will need to be enabled also. the file /etc/xinetd.d/swat usually needs 
to be modified to 'enable = yes' and remove any line that has 127.0.0.1 
in it, this only allows local access. restart xinetd, 
'/etc/init.d/xinetd restart' and point your web browser at 
http://localhost:901 or http://ipaddress:901 and you can configure samba.
