There's a module to bond 2 ethernet interfaces built into the linux kernel. The only kicker is that it's designed to be used with a switch that supports something similar (Cisco FastEtherChannel or SunTrunking Sunsoft driver).

Subject: Load Balancing two nics

I have dual nics built into my MB and I am transfering alot of files
to this computer. Fedora Core 3 is whats running on it and I was
wondering if there is a way to load balance the two nics? Lets say if
eth0 gets to 50% use then eth1 takes the next 50% and so on. Is this
possible and if so how?
