you will not have a 'eth#' in solaris, this is a linux only thing. 
network controllers are named after the driver in solaris, hme, qfe, 
dmfe, etc.  if you run /usr/platform/`uname -m`/sbin/prtdiag you will 
get a listing of all the devices in your machine.

what is the output you get form the above command?
