Dictation Software for Linux?

The best place to find software for Linux is 'freshmeat.net'.  A real quick
check (search for dictation turns up:

1. Speech for Java
A Linux Java interface for incorporating IBM's ViaVoice speech technology.

2. Tcl/SMAPI
A Tcl/Tk extension for the IBM ViaVoice speech recognition API.

3. XVoice
Enables speech to text for many X applications.

Looks like the first two may meet your criterion for IBM ViaVoice...
