audio cd

My wife wanted to listen to her audio cd and I
couldn't figure out why the CD drive kept giving me
wrong fs type so I was searching a bit and what little
info I came up with is, tracks have to be converted to
.wav format. Is there a fix so I can play a regular
audio cd, I hate to say this, like on my windows box?
I did find and rpm called dagrab which works fine
reading the audio cd and rips them into .wav format.
They play fine as .wav on my HD so I'm sure burning
the ripped .wav's to a cd will work too. If anyone has
a fix or has more info I would appreciate it. If
anyone is interested in dagrab, it works like a charm.
I would just rather slap a regular store bought audio
cd in and start listening instead of ripping and
burning .wav tracks.
Thanks,
JB
