All,
I installed Debian 3.0r1 bootstrap. The plan was to compile the kernel so
match my hardware, but as expected, had to installed supporting packages as
well as GCC. GCC and its dependancies were installed but non of the
necessary symlinks were created. I made two symlinks:
ln -s /usr/bin/gcc-3.0 /usr/bin/gcc
ln -s /usr/bin/gcc-3.0 /usr/bin/cc
Ran and checked the versionand gcc popped up...When I went to compile a
simple "Hello World" program I recieved the error "cannot exec cc1plus" --
I've checked online and have seen installs for only older versions of gcc
and other distributions...
Any ideas?
