Well, we need to know what the NIC is.  You may have to code 'options'
in /etc/modules.conf.  Typically, there is a bitmapped code that
can be fed to the thing to get it to select 100BaseT-FD mode.  Unfortunately,
the correct parameters have to be derived from the driver documentation.
