Redhat 9.0

I believe the 8.1 beta was the beta for 9. 8.1 was renamed to 9. One
reason I can think of is that all the other vendors have releases in the
9.0 range, maybe they wanted to be about the same level, so if a newbie
walks into the store and wants a copy he doesn't think mandrake 9 is more
advanced than redhat 8.1. Just a thought. Maybe also having to do with
their new End of life, 8.0 expires 12-30-03, maybe from now on they are
going to expire all major releases at the same time, so 9.0-9.x will all
expire for support at some later date.
