Tcsh

Tcsh has a history feature.  It works fine in my current shell, but I
can't figure out how to get it to save my history to the ~/.history file
so that it will carry over to the next Eterm I open.

So I grab my O'Reilly tcsh book & it tells me to use

set history = 100
set savehist

Yet, for some reason, I still can't get the shell to a) create the
~/.history file, or b) populate it with my commands

Anybody know what I'm missing?
