Little Help?

Shutdown KDE and switch to a test console when playing with sound.  KDE
starts up the ARTS sound daemon and it grabs hold of the sound card like
a Bull Terrier (Sorry Peter, just had to say it :-).  If this has occurred,
you won't be able to remove the modules.

Try that and let us know.
