I also have QIII Arena for Linux.  I was unable to get it to run under Man8.2
but after an upgrade to 9.0 (quite some time ago now) I was able to install
with no tricks or hoops.  Just ran install as root.  I had run LOKI games in
past so was familiar with the installer.

New formatted game machine with Man 9.1 so no games installed yet.
