At work I experimented with making a DOS image containing the DOS Citrix
client. It worked fine. We would have rolled it out if the boss had let us.

My recommendation would be to do that. There is no simpler solution. I love
linux, but it's sure to be slightly more complicated of a solution. If you
want something extremely easy to setup, that runs on any hardware, no matter
how old, and all you are doing is running Citrix, I think this is something
to consider.
