hp 635 photosmart camera

My son received a hp 635 photosmart camera for a gift. I was trying to get it to work on my Redhat 9.0 box. I cant get it to work. I thought that most of the hp stuff was Linux compatable. I bought a hp multifunction printer 2110 and it works great for printing to a shared WinXP box. I tried using gtkam and it didnt reconize it. I tried the drivers in the list too with no luck. I also tried to mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 no luck. I cant find much info on cameras on HP site or on google. Any suggestions would help.
