Subject: Re: apt-get process
you could rip it out by the roots from a terminal, "ps -ef" to see the
process id's, then "kill -KILL idnumber" with idnumber being the process
id of the apt-get

Is there another way I can kill this? Its using all my resources and making things slow. I tried from the system monitor to kill it but it keeps locking up. Any suggestions?
