Don't tell them what os they are using.  After all, as
long as you can get a dhcp address from adelphia, and
can speak ethernet, your computer will work, no matter
what os they claim to support.

All they mean when they say they can't support you is
that they don't have anyone smart enough to tell you
how to restart your ethernet card to get a new ip
address from their server.

(hint ifconfig eth0 down;ifconfig eth0 up)
