Importing Favorites (Bookmarks) into a browser

install netscape or mozilla on windows and use the import feature to 
import your IE settings, mail, bookmarks, etc. then you can copy the 
bookmarks.html created by either of these tools into 
$HOME/.mozilla/$USER/folder_with_funky_name/ and you'll be all set.
