For some reason I bet its running in a non gui level but it says 5 at boot up. Why would it be going to non interactive start up if its at runlevel 5 in my inittab file?

At the top of that file, there is a line like this:
id:3:initdefault:
This determines which runlevel linux boots into. Change the 3 to a 5, and
that should fix it.

I tried changing it back to x:5:respawn:/etc/X11/predfm -no daemon and it still goes back to non gui. I did it on a few Linux machines and it works this machine is giving me issue. Got any suggestions?
