Xmms glitch

I got sound working and installed Xmms. Something happened, 
and I can no longer access the playlist to enter data for new music 
CDs. Old ones are still there showing artist/title and track titles as I 
entered them. I didn't change any options that I know of. If I 
uninstall, then reinstall the Xmms rpm, will I loose the data for the 
CDs I already have ? 

Is there some way to transfer my KDE cd playlist files to Xmms ?
