Net Cards

I decided just for the heck of it, because they're there, to configure 
my net cards - BIG MISTAKE !!! 
Everything went fine [I thought] until this morning when I wanted to 
check email. Kppp and Kmail do not exist, and Remote Access 
from the Networking Menu is gone too. 

Is there a file somewhere I can edit or delete to un-configure the 
NICs get my internet dialer and Kmail back ? 
What RPM is Kppp part of in KDE 2 ?
