Sunday meeting

Well, we're s small group so trying to set up two meetings will result in very
low attendance for either. Before every meeting, we ask what folks want to
learn. Sometimes we get requests, sometimes not. When we get requests, we try
to present them.

John requested information on NIS/YP and NFS. Since that's the basis of
setting up a larger scale infrastructure, it's fairly applicable to a "war on
Microsoft" since any battle would have to take on the business world and in
order to do that, you have to be able to build network of machines that is
centrally managed. Going after the home users won't help immediately because
anyone that uses a computer at work will use what they use there at home.

We really don't have a lot of "hardcore" linux folks in the crowd. We do have
a lot of people that want to learn.

So now I throw it back at the membership... What do you want to learn about?
We'll try to teach/present whatever you want.

By the way, Ron, what firehall? A friend of mine is in Engine 3 at Southside.

Cheers!
