Wow, thanks for the speedy reply! I know the area you speak of in your 
directions. It's been a while, but I'm sure I'll find it.

How much do you want to bet my camera is the exact same one you had? it 
wouldn't surprise me. I'm holding out for a scanner, and hope to be able 
to get one soon. So, I'll be listening to what everyone else says about 
scanners and waiting for the holidays to end. I tried a few scanner and 
camera models under SANE, the GIMP, and GTKAM, but no luck.

FWIW, this is important to me because I have a bad habit of collecting 
and processing large amounts ( >= 2Gb) of *nix documentation, often in 4 
formats(*.txt, *.html, *.ps, *.pdf). I'll probably burn them onto cd in 
case anyone wants copies.
