OpenOffice.org question

When I highlight text and click in OO I expect to get the text but i get all
HTML!

I have to highlight text in website then middle click in Kwrite to get only
text then copy into OO.org.  IS there a way to have OO.org only take the text
and not all HTML when I paste stuff in?
