In regards to SWAT: Did you do the following:
In /etc/services file add the line
	swat		901/tcp

In the /etc/inetd.conf add the line

swat 
stream 
tcp 
nowait.400 
root 
usr/local/samba/bin/swat 
swat

This should be one long line.Retain format of current file. Restart 
inetd and try swat again.

These lines may already exist but need to be uncommented out.
