Hi Anthony
Are you installing RedHat 7.2 or Mandrake ?
I know I can't help you with the problems your having that Rob is trying to
assist you in, but if you need RedHat 7.2
I have a good copy that I can burn a copy for you from. I installed it and
it works fine.
"Have you tried physically adjusting the screen on your monitor? It might
be possible that the toolbar is there, but that the
way the monitor was detected, that your vertical size might be too high,
thus moving the toolbar off the screen? Or maybe its a problem with
relation to virutal desktop size vs actual screen size resolution."
Rob has mentioned this and I can add no further input here since thats what
I would have concluded, but if it is a bad copy set that you have there then
I would suggest to try another copy? Who knows? If you want I'll make you a
copy, but if you would do me the favor of bring four blanks to the next
meeting. It would be interesting to know if this is a problem with the cd's
making a bad installation or incorrect monitor settings? Let us know, and
hope to see ya at the next meeting.
Ron:)
