Yep, did both when I swapped the drives back to original configuration.
Thanks for the idea's though :-)
Not a total wash, everything is running fine off of the boot disk, and when 
I install the new distro I would imagine that I will not have this 
issue.  Just bugs me that I have to leave boot disk in to get system up and 
running, as I feel I will be doing quite a few reboots in the coming days LOL

Otherwise the simplest answer is to not reboot the system LOL..
