This is an example of the lilo.conf file before making changes.

image = /boot/vmlinuz
  root = /dev/hda6
  label = linux

other = /dev/hdb1
  label = w98
  map-drive = 0x80
  to = 0x81
  map-drive = 0x81
  to = 0x80
  table = /dev/hdb

Just move the "other = " section above the "image = " section (so
it is read first).

The default boot is the one listed first. Now save the file, run
/sbin/lilo, then reboot for it to take effect.  That's it.
