I signed up for it as well. So we are classmates. You will recognize me. I will be the guy sitting in the back in fear that the class will filll up with Debian - lovin guru's. I am really looking forward to a hard C. :-)

I haven't taken it yet, but I will be taking it next semester (fall). I
don't know what book they are using yet (usually a pretty good indicator of
how the course will go. I really hope its not one of those teach yourself
foo in X days/hours/minutes books.) I'm taking primarily for the easy A
(and I really hope the prof doesn't happen to be on this list). In any
event, I can let you know how the class goes once I start taking it.

As a positive note: I ran across a Linux course being offered this fall at
U.B. Has anybody ever taken it? It's good to see Linux getting formal
recognition. Usually (non computer science) corses/training at UB tend to
be windows centric. Is S. Crowley a local expert/advocate? Your
thoughts? -
