Linux is hardware compatible. It's just that there are companies that
don't see a profit in supporting the Linux OS, so they make their
hardware specs unavailable, and only make Windows drivers.
ie: Winmodems (which are a joke in themselves).
Oh, and on a side note, my pine session was unable to view the digital
signed email. So I have no clue what your Netscape install email was
about.
