Subject: Digital Signatures

Being a student of Security and having recebtly completed teh book
"Security
and Lies" and reading the newsletters from Bruce Schneier. I have
started
giving serious consideration to using Digital Signatures in all my
messages.
Especially messages to the NFLUG list since people assume it's me when
they see
my name and will show up or drive to a different place if they see my
name in
an e-mail stating "the meeting this week is a 2am on Chippewa in the
club..."
and some will show up unless they can check my Dig Sig.

(Some would sshow up anyway :-)

If anyone is having trouble with a digital signatuer then what would be
helpful
is knowing what mail client/MTA you are using. What was the error, what
are
the relevant securty settings that may have caused an issue. Have you
ever
received a digital signature before and was it readable? Was the
digital sig
added using GPG or a like product and does the client have this
installed.
Stuff like that would be helpful (not that "You suck" messages aren't
helpful
mind you :-Q )
