I don't see any problems with sendmail that can't be solved by proper
configuration (I haven't finished reading the article you cite). I seems that
Sendmail had real security problems at one time and that the problems have been
fixed save for the fact that default setup can be insecure. Qmail, on the other
hand, is easier to set up and does "most" of what people want, but not all. I
still don't see how you have answered Bob's challenge.
