Well i got it working...turns out the it wasnt compiled (sry guys i was mistaken). However I cannot get any stations to show. I tried xawtv and tvtime. I want to use scantv that is *suppose* to come with xawtv but it is no where to be found. Our cable is NTSC and which of the following (us-bcast,us-cable,us-cablehsc)?

Sounds like a major pain. EVERY time I have tried to compile a kernel it
either didnt work or I left something out or it just acted weird after,
never had any luck doing a kernel compile. If it didnt take forever or
