I'm surprised your apt install didnt give you an updated repository for core 2, mine did. From command line try "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" that usually upgrades apt it it's the first time you've run it. Otherwise here's my /etc/apt/sources.list file. It keeps me pretty up to date, with very rarely a conficting package in there. Theres some commented out and a few i added. It's pretty much how it came with the exception of the flash and k3b repositories. good luck, -Jesse
