<pre wrap="">No I still use smbpasswd add for the users and machine accounts. I log nt/2000/xp box's into it fine. XP requires the encryption shutoff, and they log in fine for me. I have the roaming profiles and everything running.

<pre wrap="">Are you logging 2000 or XP boxes into it? I remember trying to set it up
and It was giving me greif. It works great for file and printer sharing,
but NT (includes xp + 2000) were giving me greif logging in. I had to
create machine accounts manually, with PC netlink you can have the NT
machine create it's account on the pcnetlink box when you joined the
domain. Also using the NT gui tools to add users was very flakey. Just
wondering if they cleaned any of that up.

<pre wrap="">Anyone Using samba 3.0? I've been using 2.2.7 without a problem. The
domain logon stuff for NT/2000/XP was always a little flakey with it. I
couldn't get it running to my liking. I've been using PCNetlink on
solaris for the logons, but this requires a solaris box just for domain
logons. Has anyone tried this under version 3? Is it cleaned up at all,
can you use the standard NT user managers?
Thanks
Justin
