Hey Anthony,
That's not a hell of alot to go on. I did a search on those
vendor/product numbers, the vendor shows as HP but got nothing on the
product number. What OS is this on? What is your kernel, if you don't
have the latest, you should upgrade the kernel. I had a camera once
that that was all it needed. I would try the latest via up2date (I
assume your a RH man), I think it is like 2.4.20-27.9 or something like
that.
Let me see the output of your dmesg. My gf just bought me a really nice
Casio camera and RH9 picked it right up, it has a transfer/charging
cradle and it works great. do a "dmesg > list" without the quotes, that
will create a file called list in whatever directory you were in at the
time. Send me that file and I will see what's getting recognized, etc.
Don't forget to do that after you have the camera turned on and plugged
into the pc.

My son received a hp 635 photosmart camera for a gift. I was trying to get it to work on my Redhat 9.0 box. I cant get it to work. I thought that most of the hp stuff was Linux compatable. I bought a hp multifunction printer 2110 and it works great for printing to a shared WinXP box. I tried using gtkam and it didnt reconize it. I tried the drivers in the list too with no luck. I also tried to mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 no luck. I cant find much info on cameras on HP site or on google. Any suggestions would help.
