i watched the nyc blackout on TV... after i turned on the air conditioner... the major networks were reporting a failure at the Lewiston power plant while the spokesperson from the NYPA at Lewiston reported on local TV that everything was fine there. we should soon hear that the cause was an "act of god" (for insurance and liability purposes) <BR>

One of the interesting things I heard from some of the power guys is<BR>
that all the main relays thatıs supposed to kick in to avert the<BR>
problems and/or to bring the systems back up arenıt working..<BR>

But who knows currently whats conjecture and whats fact....<BR>
