[nflug] Converting an HTML table on a web page into a spreadsheet on my computer

Before I found out how to print my Nation Grid Home Usage Summary
without downloading the usage summary, I had the following problem that
I'd like to know how to solve anyway:

Before getting into all the gory details, I think what I really need to
know is:

How can I transform an HTML table from a web page into a spreadsheet
table so I can work with it?

I logged in to my national grid account at:
https://www1.nationalgridus.com/NiagaraMohawk/YourAccount/Forms.aspx?form=ViewYourAccount

On the right side of the page, I clicked on Usage History.
This took me to a page where I selected my account (checked a box) and
clicked Submit.
This took me to a page where I clicked on Electric Energy Usage Data.
This opened Openoffice.org Writer/Web with a file called
MultiUsageHistory.html

This had the information I wanted to save/print in it, but the table was
very wide and most of it got cut off when I tried to print it (and it
ignored my attempts to get it to print in landscape).

(BTW, When OOo opens from another application on my computer (like
Firefox), it starts as some sort of viewer or something. All the menu
bars, etc. are application defaults - not the customized way they are
when I start OOo from my desktop or menu.)

At this point, what I wanted to do is get this HTML table (or the part
of it I actually wanted) into a spreadsheet (OOo Calc) so I could
manipulate it until it printed correctly.

OOo would not let me save it as a spreadsheet. When I opened OOo Calc
from my desktop and tried to paste the table into it, I got some sort of
thing that looked like an embedded object - not what I wanted.

So how do I get an HTML table into a spreadsheet to manipulate it?

Thanks.

Joe
