[nflug] Off Topic: Windows List - why do anything for MS ?

The topic was a mailing list and I mentioned a free
way of updating Microsoft software. I didn't mean to
mix apples and oranges, if you know what I mean.

My point here was, why do something beneficial for
people when the company which controls the associated
product apparently show utter disdain for the people
who use their products by shutting down a beneficial
service ?

There is a German solution to the autopatcher product,
but this is a GNU/Linux mailing list, not a MS mailing
list.
