[nflug] RHEL 5

I'd first try the testparm command. It will parse your smb.conf and see if
there are any errors. If it doesn't complain about your file I'd say to look
at SELinux next... Also you might check /var/log/messages for a more
specific error message with "tail /var/log/messages".

Anyone know why my smbd doesn't seem to run? I'm using CentOS.... I keep
restarting it but keeps dying ...is it a SELinux issue, if so anyone know
how to tell SELinux via command line to let the smbd do it's thing?

Executing /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb status ..

smbd dead but pid file exists
nmbd (pid 2295) is running...

Thanks
Eric
