[nflug] Synaptics Touchpad configuration

I have a synaptics touchpad on my notebook (kubuntu feisty).
It works fine with one problem.

I'm right handed and my finger is always at the right end of the
touchpad.  This invariably causes wild vertical scrolling to occur when
I'm just trying to move the mouse.  It drives me crazy!

I installed qsynaptics, a gui for the touchpad and it has an option to
turn scrolling off.  This fixes the problem for one session, but it
comes back every time I reboot (it's a dual boot notebook and I turn it
off at night, etc.).

Is there something I can configure to turn touchpad scrolling off
permanently - perhaps in X11 land somewhere?
