Thanks for the tip. Had no idea. It still creeps me out to use ie, but 
at least all the virii it gathers won't run here. ;-)

So far, though, the program has failed to run on two different machines 
- the BLAG 30k (fc3) one that connects to adelphia for mail AND the 
ubuntu feisty one that I've been using ssh -X on to read my mail.

On the BLAG box it says this:

I'm new to cabextract, also, so I don't really know what's going on here.
