if i had a family to support,  I'd be thinking of
them, and wanting to give them the best i could. 
Linux wins out against windows in most cases anyways, 
so i wouldn't necessarily feel bad by running windoze
ads on my site.  I feel it's better to give customers
options to go with whatever solution works best for
THEM,  than to box them into a corner, of "you must
use product X!" (which is the microsoft way)
