[nflug] newb apt question

[Franklin Kumro Jr]

I compiled gaim beta 6 (using checkinstall to package it) and now apt wants
to update the package. How can I tell apt to not update it or ignore it?
This is probably simple question but I don't know how to. Thanks again guys!

Note: I'm running Ubuntu 6.10
