I have a dell laptop will this wireless card installed in it and I have
got it to work fine with wep before. I found a solution in the forums
for it(http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=197102). The only
thing I had trouble with was that did not always get the ssid name right
away and had to manually type it in but it did work. I hope this works
for you if you haven't already got it working.
