[nflug] Ubuntu on old iMac

Hi Jason,

I actually just installed Ubuntu Edgy successfully on an imac G3 500
with 384MB RAM. Works pretty well so far. To start from the CD, boot the
imac, insert the CD, and restart the system while holding down the C
key. It should boot from there.

Just an FYI , There is a known issue with the imac G3's and xorg.conf
where the screen will go blank right after the install. It's a pretty
quick fix which is posted in the URL below
