[nflug] knoppix boot issue II

I'm getting an error when runing from the cdrom:

Can't find KNOPPIX file system, sorry.
Dropping you to a (very limited) shell.
Press reset button to quit.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
I have used this same knoppix on another machine that is exactly the
same, and it worked fine.
Is it possible I have a bad cdrom, if so why I am I able to boot to an
interactive splash of KNOPPIX?
